"Much of what [my younger children] experienced here was what my older children experienced in the public kindergarten classroom! MLDS was definitely a positive beginning in our children's learning experience."

Messiah Lutheran Day School was established in 1995 by Messiah Lutheran Church members and friends.  Since its inception, the school has continued to thrive, successfully educating and enriching the lives of children from Lynnfield, North Reading, and the surrounding communities.

What Makes Us Special
Our experienced and dedicated teachers have a combined average of
18 years in education and over 10 years on staff. Teachers provide a well-balanced curriculum, designed with age-appropriate, creative learning activities to foster the social, academic, and spiritual development of your child.

We offer small classes with a ratio of one teacher to six children, to provide each student with quality, individual attention. Your child, guided and encouraged by their teachers, will delight in growing and learning!

The curriculum goals of the school are to minister to the needs of the whole child — academic, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical — in a creative, nurturing and supportive environment. The overall curriculum is organized into a unit-study format, which has proven to be an excellent approach for children at this age level.

At school, your child experiences a full range of developmental activities including language arts, math, fine and gross motor skills, science and social studies exploration, art, music, social skills, indoor and outdoor play, as well as age-appropriate, values-based Bible lessons.

Throughout the school year, your child will experience a variety of enrichment programs such as puppet shows, animal and science programs, and music/movement activities.

In addition to weekly physical education classes, each day your child will have outdoor free play time in our new, enclosed playground!
